(1)Tangjia Ancient Town:

Tangjia Bay is the first ancient town in China to be successfully declared a historical and cultural famous town with modern historical relics. It has a strong artistic atmosphere and has produced many talents, including Tang Guoan, the first president of Tsinghua University, the famous Cantonese opera artist Tang Disheng, and the Chinese printmaker Gu Yuan. Not only does this town retain the traces of many historical celebrities, but it also enjoys colorful intangible cultural heritage.Walking into the long and deep ancient alleys of the town, you’ll see a cluster of buildings from the Ming-Qing transition period, century-old houses with green bricks and gray tiles, and vaguely visible majestic roof totems.The charm here is infinite and well worth a visit.

 

(2)Lover’s Road:

Lover’s Road is a coastal road in Zhuhai, passing by famous tourist attractions such as the Seaside Swimming Beach, Zhuhai Fishing Girl, Zhuhai Grand Theater, and Xianglu Bay. Among them, Zhuhai Fishing Girl is located in the middle section of Lover’s Road and is the symbol of Zhuhai. The daughter of the sea god holds a treasure pearl in her hand and presents it to the people of Zhuhai. The Seaside Swimming Beach is located on the east coast of Zhuhai, featuring a beautiful sandy beach stretching for hundreds of meters. It has bathing areas, water entertainment facilities, coffee shops, bars, a romantic love post office, and a lighthouse in the north area. You can also see the magnificent super project—the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge on the sea, an ideal place for leisure and recreation. The Zhuhai Grand Theater is located on Ye Li Island on Lover’s Road in Zhuhai. It is the only opera house built on an island in China. The main and small theaters are shaped like sun and moon shells, interpreting the city’s spirit of embracing maritime civilization and rich historical and cultural deposits.

 

(3)Qi’ao Island:

Qi’ao Island is a must-pass path to Lingdingyang Estuary and the cross-sea bridge. The island has a long history as it preserves 17 temples built in the Song and Qing dynasties. It has historical sites such as Su Zhaozheng’s former residence, Shawan ancient ruins, and Baishi Street, as well as natural scenic spots like mangrove wetland protection area and Qi’ao Bay. The main attraction on the island is the mangrove wetland protection area, where more than 100,000 migratory birds come to spend the winter every year, making it a prime choice for birdwatchers.

 

(4)Dong’ao Island:

Dong’ao Island is a beautiful island with peculiar stones, clean water,lush flowers and trees, and fresh air. It perfectly preserves the original natural ecological environment, with white sandy beaches, azure seawater, bright sunshine, and lush green forests, creating an almost perfect ecotourism environment. Dong’ao Island has charming scenery, unique strange stones, and multiple coastal hiking routes. You can experience surfing, diving, sailing, and enjoy delicious seafood.

 

(5)Yuanming New Park:

Yuanming New Park was officially completed and opened to the public on February 2, 1997. It is located at the foot of Shilin Mountain on Jiuzhou Avenue, Zhuhai, covering an area of 1.39 square kilometers. Modeled after the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, it was built with a selection of 18 scenes from the 40 scenes of the Old Summer Palace on a 1:1 scale, with an investment of 600 million yuan. It is one of the first batch of AAAA-level scenic spots in China. Integrating the classical royal architectural complex, Jiangnan classical garden architectural complex, and Western architectural complex, Yuanming New Park reproduces the Old Summer Palace for visitors.
